OFA coordinates fixtures with DMS
MUSCAT: The Competitions Committee at the OFA has begun the final preparations for the second half of the season’s fixtures. One of the key points with regards to fixture planning is coordinating with the Directorate of Military Sports (DMS).
The OFA Competitions Committee held several meetings with the DMS to plan their fixtures in such a way that there is no clash between the OPL fixtures and the armed forces league. Saleh Al Farsi, the second Vice-President of the OFA Board of Directors and head of the competitions committee confirmed that the last meeting, dated 22nd December, 2015, with the DMS officials in the presence of Sheikh Shabib Al Hosni, CEO of the OPL was very productive and decisive.
It was decided between the OFA and DMS that the Armed Forces league will commence in May 2016, so as to avoid conflict with the OPL (and other competitions) — which will end in April 2016.
