Micromax unveils new-age flagship smartphone Yutopia

Packed with a 21MP rear camera, 3000mAh battery and a host of new-age features, Micromax’s YU Televentures last week launched its flagship smartphone priced at Rs 24,999. Branded as the world’s most powerful smartphone, Yu Yutopia comes with 5.2” sharp WQHD IPS display, Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 processor, 4GB DDR4 RAM and fingerprint scanner, the company said in a statement. ‘Yutopia is a revolutionary product that is packed with the compelling ‘Around Yu’ services, making the smartphone literally five years ahead of any other device,’ said Rahul Sharma, founder, YU Televentures.
‘Around YU’ has a suite of services including travel, food and entertainment rolled into one discovery window for the users. The new personal assistant “Around YU” provides a seamless experience that simplifies and saves a user time and effort to switch between plethora of apps. Yutopia is equipped with a fingerprint scanner. Users can unlock the device with one of five stored fingerprints in less than half a second. As far as the design is concerned, the Yutopia boasts a full-metal body made using aircraft-grade aluminium. On camera front, there’s 21MP shooter at the back and an 8MP camera in front. The phone will be rolled out with a set of ‘House of Marley’ headphones which the company prefers calling the little bird earphones.
Additionally, the smartphone features an alert slider for quick access to custom notification settings. Unprecedented on an Android device, the alert slider can silence the device with a simple click. Yutopia has also introduced an interesting “Assured Upgrade Programme” that will give any customer buying Yutopia an option of an assured upgrade Yutopia 2 in the future.
