30-player grassroots national team ready
MUSCAT: The technical department of the Oman Football Association (OFA), after extensive scouting has settled on a final list of 30 children who will comprise the grassroots national team of Oman.
The team has been selected after a lot of in-depth scouting that has taken place with coaches from the technical department. The final team was selected by German football expert Torsten Spittler, who is working with the OFA as a Talent Development and Performance Expert.
He was assisted by national team coaches Nabeel Mubarak and Khalid Al Alawi, as well as national team administrator Nabeel Al Balushi as they scouted players across the Sultanate the last few weeks.
The players were selected based on their natural talent and technical ability. They are scheduled to participate in the 8th Gulf Festival in Qatar.
